[New Series] Streets Of New York - Dan McCabe

"Streets of New York" is a song that has always stayed with me. It’s a story about the bittersweet reality of leaving home, and the things that never truly leave you—the people, the memories, and the sense of place you carry in your heart, no matter how many miles lie between. I wanted to record this in its purest form, stripped back with this incredible group of musicians to let the narrative take centre stage. If you’ve ever lived away from home or felt that pull toward your roots, I think you’ll find something familiar in these verses. This release marks the beginning of a brand-new series. For the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a new performance every Sunday. I decided to record these sessions as a way to say a massive thank you for the unbelievable support you’ve shown me lately. It’s your encouragement that keeps me in the studio and on the road, and I wanted to give something back that felt raw, authentic, and personal. I hope you enjoy this first instalment. See you next Sunday for the next one. Keep an eye on all of my socials for some snippets or what to expect each Sunday! #DanMcCabe #IrishFolk #StreetsOfNewYork #TheSundaySessions #IrishMusic #FolkMusic #Ballads #IrishSongs #NewMusic
