Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 27 October 2026. Today’s South Africa video opens with a major fire that burned through shacks beside the highway in Bellville, Cape Town, while a heavy rainstorm swept through Potchefstroom. Join us for views from Jonkershoek, Simon’s Town, Mossel Bay, the Drakensberg, Kruger National Park, and more. We also visit Pretoria, the Northern Cape, and the Garden Route. The West Coast towns, and many more places across the country. Enjoy coastal views, local events, wildlife, road scenes, and moments shared by people around South Africa. Follow each stop on the South Africa map, with location captions and temperature readings in Celsius and Fahrenheit. South Africa Weather for Today & Tomorrow Update Severe weather is set to impact eastern South Africa as intense thunderstorms, heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail, and frequent lightning threaten eastern KwaZulu-Natal Province, where a Yellow Level 4 warning is in effect. Residents should prepare for possible road and bridge closures, flooding in low-lying areas and settlements, significant damage to infrastructure and property, and a serious risk to personal safety. Additional Yellow Level 2 warnings have been issued for western KwaZulu-Natal Province and parts of Mpumalanga Province, where similar storm conditions may lead to localized flooding and infrastructure damage. The Eastern Cape Province coast and adjacent interior flooding, especially east of Cape St Francis, are also at risk of disruptive rain, potentially causing flooding of roads and bridges. Across other regions, hot and windy conditions will persist, particularly in the Lowveld and Bushveld, while extremely high fire danger is expected throughout most of the North West, northern Free State, and the Limpopo Valley. The public is urged to stay alert for rapidly changing conditions, heed official warnings, and take extra precautions both for severe storms and heightened wildfire risk. Where are you watching from?
