A Day on the River | Chasing Taimen A quiet morning with no takes. Then, a taimen struck my companion’s mouse lure, reigniting the challenge. Reading the current, crossing to the opposite bank, and working the water with short, medium, and long casts — finally, a taimen. Thanks to my companion, the day turned around, followed by more casts and Lenok in the wild waters of Mongolia.
