2014 Transit Connect van Door Latch Replacement, Door won't stay Closed,

R & R Ford Door latch ,, 2014 Ford Transit Connect Drivers Door will not latch and stay closed! something inside the Latch failed. Here a few tips to help when removing the Door latch assembly to replace it with a new part. You’ll need a #20 & #25 Torx .. If you take a couple extra Minutes to remove the outside Door lock and handle its quicker and easier to get the latch assembly out.. There is 1 screw in the side of the Door (has a plastic plug covering it) that needs to be loosened ( the screw won’t fall out) , the actual door lock will then easily pull out, then slide the outside handle back and it can then be removed. When the handle is removed there will be a little Torx screw visible on the outside door skin, it needs to be removed to free up the top part of the window track and latch assembly.. Remove the door panel at this time. There are 5 torx screws and 8 white push in clips that will need to be pryed loose. It seemed to work best when I pryed the cover plates from the edge closest to outside edge of the door panel to get at the screws behind them.
