Solace, Scott Joplin (Early-Advanced Piano Solo)

TEACHER DEMO This is an excellent first Scott Joplin song to learn. It is a slower tempo than most of his other songs, but gives a great introduction to his syncopated style which is an essential component of the Ragtime era. Scott Joplin is known as the "Ragtime King" and his songs have been enjoyed for over 100 years. This performance is the second half of his song called "Solace - A Mexican Serenade". This is the portion that is most often used in movies (such as "The Sting") and videogames (such as "Bioshock Infinite"). --Norma SHEET MUSIC Sheet music available for download at: https://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic...
