ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER, Germany- 4k walk in a Bavarian fairy tale!

Hello friends! Today we are in the Franconia region of Bavaria, the beautiful and well preserved medieval town of Rothenberg Ob Der Tauber "Red castle above the Tauber" (River Tauber) . It is a popular destination for people around the world and it's no surprise. Although the eastern portion of the city suffered from Allied bombings in WW2, the rebuilding honored the style of the original structures. The fortification walls and the iconic towers mostly survived intact due to the strong stone construction. The western part, which is the oldest part of the town, including the main square and St. Jacob's Church were spared from bombings. It is a fantastic place to wander as any street seems to lead to beautiful houses. The walk was recorded on May, 2025. Hope you enjoy!
