Check if a cell contains specific text with IF, ISNUMBER and SEARCH, since wildcards don't work in IF.

Wildcards like AT work in SUMIFS and COUNTIFS, but not in the IF logical test. SEARCH returns the position of the text, or an error if the text isn't there. ISNUMBER turns that into TRUE or FALSE, which IF can use. SEARCH ignores case. Use FIND when the case has to match. Then add OR to check for more than one text string, for example AT or DE returns Europe. The same approach works in SUMPRODUCT.
Good to know: COUNTIF accepts wildcards, so =IF(COUNTIF(A5,"*AT*"),"AT","") also works in every Excel version. In Microsoft 365, REGEXTEST checks several strings in one pattern: =IF(REGEXTEST(A5,"AT|DE"),"Europe","").
