HEF Learning and Discovery Tuckahoe River City Dreams 2026

Students in HEF's Learning & Discovery after-school program at Tuckahoe Elementary School ( Tuckahoe Elementary School PTA) put their creativity in the driver’s seat during an exciting exploration of motorsports! Students learned about race cars and the inspiring story of Rajah Caruth, a trailblazing Black race car driver whose success is helping inspire a new generation in motorsports. A special thank you to River City D.R.E.A.M.S. for introducing our students to the wide range of career opportunities available throughout the racing industry. Following an engaging Q&A session, students had the opportunity to put their creativity into action by designing and decorating their own race cars. Each design featured unique symbols and details that reflected the student’s personality, interests, and imagination. What a meaningful way to bring together history, career exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning while encouraging students to dream about the many possibilities ahead!
