Southern Idaho: I-84 East (Twin Falls to Utah)

#idaho #mountains #hiking #travel #exploreidaho In today’s episode, we will drive southeast on I-84 from Twin Falls (Exit 173) to the Utah State Line. This journey covers 103 miles of I-84. A separate video covers I-84 West from Boise to Twin Falls. The highway follows the iconic Snake River eastward then heads southeast down through the Raft River Valley and the Curlew Valley to reach Utah. We will visit the towns of Twin Falls, Burley, Rupert, Malta, and Juniper. And, of course, we will take lots of photos. We will explore the Snake River, Shoshone Falls, Dierkes Lake, Lake Walcott, and the Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge. We will visit buttes on the Snake River Plain, hills in the East Hills, Stone Hills, and the Sublett Range as well as mountains in the Black Pine Mountains, Cotterel Mountains, Jim Sage Mountains, and Albion Mountains. So bring your hiking boots, your river raft (or kayak), your ATV, and your fishing gear!
