Rain on the lantern glass. A warm workroom. One quiet watch above the Pacific. Spend a gentle night on the Oregon coast around 1900, in a story inspired by Heceta Head Lighthouse. Follow fictional keepers Daniel and Arthur as they prepare the oil lamp, attend to the hand-wound mechanism, read beside the stove and pass the watch from one pair of hands to another. This 70-minute original history sleep story features soft Nicole narration, original historical illustrations, 36 seconds of restrained LTX opening animation followed by an 18-second controlled artwork camera move, and a chaptered rain-and-distant-sea ambience tail after the story. No music, thunderclaps, foghorns or sudden effects. Quiet stove sound appears only with workroom illustrations showing the stove. Daniel, Arthur, their conversation, journal entries and this particular rainy night are imagined. The historical setting draws on documented oil-lighting equipment and keeper routines; the artwork is interpretive, not an exact architectural reconstruction. The story does not reproduce a real keeper's diary or claim that all lighthouse stations followed the same routine.
