📖 About Surah Fussilat (From Kanzul Iman Commentary)
Surah Fussilat consists of 54 verses and was revealed in Makkah. In the classical commentary framework of Kanzul Iman, this chapter—also historically known as Ha-Meem As-Sajdah—holds a deeply revered place as a powerful manifest of divine articulation, emphasizing that this Book has had its verses explained in structural detail as a guide and a healing (Shifa) for those who believe.
According to the commentary, the Surah beautifully details the creation of the cosmic heavens and the earth, building an unshakeable baseline of divine sovereignty. Kanzul Iman highlights how the text directly counters the rigid hearts of the deniers, providing the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with profound solace against their rejection. The commentary focuses intensely on the famous core reassurances of the Surah: the descent of angels upon the steadfast believers to remove their earthly anxieties, the golden rule of spiritual psychology to repel evil with that which is inherently better (Ahsan), and the concluding promise that Allah will continuously show humanity His undeniable signs in the furthest horizons (Aafaaq) and deep within their own souls until the absolute truth is laid bare.

Allah beautifully instructs us in this Surah with a flawless rule for daily life: "Repel evil with that which is better, then the one between whom and you there was enmity will become as if he were a close friend."
