Ella Mai - Starving Together Before We Ate (Official Music Video) (2026)

🌙 Track Atmosphere & Story Some relationships are built in the dark long before they ever see the light. “Starving Together Before We Ate” is a modern West Coast R&B, contemporary soul, and 10 Summers-style anthem about unconditional loyalty, private sacrifice, and holding down your partner through the hardest days. Built around bouncy 808 hi-hats, warm tremolo Rhodes chords, deep sub-bass, and a rich blend of conversational talk-singing and stacked, silky 4-part vocal harmonies, the song captures the emotional depth of staying true through humble beginnings and celebrating the rewards of growing together.
