S+ Tier One-Shot Bakris Bite Hunter Build! This UNREAL x2 Armor Set Makes More Orbs Than VoG x4

This is going to be a very long breakdown, but I highly recommend reading it entirely because I genuinely think it's worth it. When I ran Conquest Lightblade yesterday with Leviathan's Breath Void Hunter, Levi was my only damage source. However, I constantly had to save ammo because ammo generation felt extremely low, and I would easily run out of ammo for the boss. I really felt there should be an armor set that could fulfill the ammo-generation role while also providing the benefits of VoG x4. Thats when I decided to reread the descriptions of some armor sets. When I came across RoN x2, I noticed it said "Final Blows vs Subclass debuffed targets create Orbs of Power." I initially thought it might have an internal cooldown because, otherwise, it would be way too broken. But I figured, why not give it a try? RoN was in rotation, so for the first time during Monuments of Triumph, I ran this raid and got a few armor pieces. I went to the Tower afterward and was absolutely blown away by how broken this armor set was, especially on Hunter. Hunter arguably has the best sources for debuffs in game. Just one Ascension can Jolt everything in the room, and RoN x2 generates Orbs of Power from what feels like almost every other kill against debuffed targets with no cooldown. Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous this armor set is, I generated 199 Orbs of Power in approximately 11:49 minutes during my run. For comparison, VoG x4 can generate a maximum of around 12 Orbs per minute if you continuously have a buff active and deal damage for the entire minute. If we multiply that by the roughly 12 minutes of my run, that's 144 Orbs, and realistically, you wouldn't be dealing damage continuously throughout an entire run. Even accounting for Fonts and other armor mods that can help with VoG generation (which I personally wouldn't recommend running alongside VoG), you're still looking at roughly 250 Orbs every 20 minutes based on my experience. I genuinely think RoN x2 could actually be a better fit than VoG x4 for a lot of builds. The only real downside of RoN is that its kill-dependent. For boss DPS scenarios, VoG x4 will be much better, but for most non-DPS content, RoN x2 can be absolutely ridiculous. A few days ago, I uploaded a run with Truth, and Revadike mentioned that Winterbite also hits extremely hard. Since Winterbite's projectiles Slow and Shatter everything, I immediately paired it with this armor set, and I was blown away. It's literally an Orb-printing machine. Everything gets Slowed and Shattered, RoN x2 keeps printing Orbs, and even Winterbite's melee hits / Kills apply Slow and generate Orbs. LMAO. I honestly had no idea what Bungie had done to Winterbite or why it was hitting this hard. When paired with Bakris, Weaken, and Radiant, it can literally one-shot -30 Champions. Then, to make the build function more like a primary weapon setup, I paired x2 Crystocrene with x2 RoN. Now I have practically infinite Orbs and an incredible Heavy ammo economy. Honestly, this has become one of the best Bakris builds I hv ever made! My Final Verdict: VoG x4 vs RoN x2 VoG x4: Due to its consistency and lack of a kill requirement, VoG x4 will outperform RoN x2 in Conquest difficulty and boss DPS scenarios. It is still the best overall armor set in the game. RoN x2: RoN x2 can outperform VoG in content up to -40 difficulty, particularly in non-DPS scenarios. It's especially valuable for builds that rely heavily on ammo and would otherwise need Europa x2, or builds like Arc, Solar, and Void that don't have reliable DR through their armor sets and can benefit from pairing RoN x2 with Smoke Jumper x2.
