One of the most popular Oyster designs ever, sixty-five 435s were launched between 1983 and 1995. Designed by Holman & Pye, built by Oyster Marine, commissioned June 1990. Hull No 54. Construction Blue GRP hull (Awlgrip sprayed in 2002 with gold style lines) Underwater surfaces epoxied from new, blasted and re-epoxied 2002. Shallow lead “Scheel” keel. Skeg hung rudder with Whitlock cable linked wheel steering. White GRP deck, superstructure and self-draining center cockpit. Teak laid side decks, coach roof, cockpit seats & sole. Custom made teak cockpit backrests. Teak internal joinery, teak and holly cabin soles. Mechanics Volvo Penta D2-60 hp 4-cylinder diesel engine located below cockpit.
