Rijiju highlighted the complexities arising from the undemarcated India–China border and stressed the need for stronger surveillance, regular patrolling and improved infrastructure in remote border areas. His remarks come amid ongoing concerns over Chinese activities along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), which separates Indian and Chinese military positions in several sensitive areas.
