Operation Finding Nero | Combined Arms

Inland, Aliabad Sept 26th 2021, dawn. Dark, clear, cool. SITUATION Aliabad has been rocked by civil conflict for as long as memory allows. In its present incarnation, the government is holding its own against several factions and slowly consolidating and stabilising its held territory. Recently, the opposition groups have started to find common ground. The government has been holding against a fractured enemy but together they will likely fall. The West has not deeply invested itself in this conflict - the government and opposition alike are adversarial after decades of extraction from the area. However, the unity figurehead for the opposition is a firebrand - vowing reprisals in every seat of former empire. He has styled himself as a modern Nero, promising Aliabad that it will rise as a new, Eastern Rome. The risk that this man will rise to power is too great, so UK SOF has inserted a covert section with a single task - Find Nero. MISSION Infantry: (Primary) - Explore the inland region of coastal Aliabad, where Nero is reported to stay. Observe towns and villages, locate armed groups. Decide to raid guarded locations - to find intel, or Nero. Nero must not survive the night. (Secondary) - Maintain stealth if possible, use it to perform recon. Try to keep firefights short and disengage ASAP to avoid reinforcements or respondents. Combined Arms: https://slotting.combinedarms.co.uk/
