Dead to the Dark

Original Christian poetry set to Celtic music Dead to the Dark (Alive to the Light) Crossing over to love Morning light sounds joyously Triumphant in the east At our backs Failed purpose and sad memory Burning bridges in the night Swathed in malineing smoke Spouting dark red accusations In a black star-studded hearth The waking sun calls us onward Through fields of green under a gold-laced sky Visions of bright birds flying up Rainbows winging Silent singing Angels in the choir While all aches All disappointments All broken hearts That once were ours Lie shards of clay strewn in a pit For future bone kickers to revive We the dead have long moved on To walk in kingdom fields Sunlit faces Bathed in consolation An inheritance of grace Hearts coruscating white Dead to the dark Alive to the light An inheritance of grace Hearts coruscating white Dead to the dark Alive to the light
