This video traces what the bone record actually says about ancient human strength: Neanderthals built roughly 20% heavier than modern humans on bones up to twice the density, close-quarters hunting large dangerous prey with thrusting spears instead of thrown ones, and a 1995 study by Thomas Berger and Erik Trinkaus finding that 79-94% of Neanderthal skeletons show major healed trauma in a pattern that matches professional rodeo riders more closely than any other hunting population.
