What is Dynamic Range?

One of the key specs of cameras these days is their Dynamic Range. With new cameras coming out all the time with higher and higher dynamic ranges, it is important to understand what dynamic range is, how it affects your footage, and if it is actually important to the type of shooting you do. In this video I test three cameras with very different dynamic ranges in order to demonstrate how it can affect your footage.
