Strategy: Skarmory is an important Pokemon in this battle. Skarmory is useful for holding Hippowdon to use Stealth Rock with Taunt and wasting time for Sandstorm to run out. Sandstorm is very strong on Giovanni's side because it increases the Defense of Rock-type Pokemon and Garchomp's Evasion due to its Sand Veil ability. On the other hand, we need a Figthing type Pokemon to defeat Kangashkan and Excadrill. Annihilape is the right choice because it is also a Ghost type and has a good Outrage move against Garchomp.
