The Angel of Orleans

Track 4 from the Iron Veil. The Angel of Orleans. The control of the masses, in15th Century France was administered by the Catholic church. She was accused and convicted of heresy by Church leaders. Her crime, dressing like a man, and professing to have had visions of Christ. She was just 19 years old when she was burnt alive in the market square in Rouen. Her conviction was officially nullified and overturned as a sham by the Catholic Church in 1456, and she was later canonized as a saint in 1920
