OUR FRIEND KIWIWI - DOBUAN STRING BAND (COVER BY ADMIRAL NIMITZ)

"Our Friend Kiwiwi" is a playful Dobuan folk song that tells the lighthearted story of the local black bird known as Kiwiwi. As the catchy song goes, our feathered friend meets its match with a BB gun, comically describing the bird falling, spreading its long legs, and dramatically scraping the ground! Admiral Nimitz delivers a joyful rendition of this community favorite, capturing the acoustic, vibrant energy of PNG string band music. Whether you know the original or are hearing it for the first time, let the island vibes lift your spirits!
