I took home $2,800 a month and had $10,000 saved 14 months later. No side hustle, no lucky break. Here are the 3 rules I used, with the real numbers.
In this video, I break down exactly how I went from "nothing is ever left at the end of the month" to my first $10,000: the automatic transfer that changed everything, the three-account system, the big expenses I cut (and the coffee I didn't), and the month I completely failed and almost quit.
The numbers from the video:
Take-home pay: $2,800/month
Monthly savings: $400 → $500 → $600 in months 1-3, then $850/month
Cuts: rent −$350, food −$260, transportation −$140, small leaks −$100
Result: $10,000 saved in 14 months (including one month at zero)

🎯 Your homework (10 minutes): open a separate savings account, schedule a transfer for your next payday, and write down what you spent last month. Then tell me in the comments: what's your take-home pay, and how much will you move on payday?
📺 Next video: what I did with my first $10,000.
