1997 Lakewood Kool Operator 20" Fan

A family member found this at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Norfolk, VA for about $19. That is more than I usually pay for fans, but I have wanted one of these older Kool Operators for a long time. I wanted one of these to use in my house to circulate heat from the fireplace instead of my Wards Signature box fan. The Wards fan works great, but it is too old and uncommon for me to feel good about using and moving it every day. I can stand using this barely vintage Kool Operator. It is somewhat similar to those Lasko Wind Machine models that I have, but this is better in about every way. It runs quieter and cooler, it moves more air, it is more slim, and so forth. Even compared to their own box fans, it was obvious that Lakewood put a lot of design into this model.
