One Sentence Changed My Entire Race (And My Faith)

At mile 17, I was ready to quit. My legs were done. My mind was done. Every step felt heavier than the last. That’s when my best friend stepped in front of me and said, “Keep your eyes on my feet.” Not the finish line. Not the miles I had left. Not how exhausted I felt. Just her feet.
