In this video, I perform Study Op. 35 No. 17 by Fernando Sor, one of the most celebrated composers of the classical guitar repertoire. Part of his Op. 35 collection of studies, this piece focuses on developing finger independence, melodic phrasing, and expressive articulation, making it both a technical and musical challenge. Sor’s elegant style combines clarity, lyricism, and classical balance, allowing the performer to explore subtle dynamics and intricate voice leading.
