"Is this heaven?" No. It's North Carolina. 40 minutes from Asheville is a small little region of the world that is home to some of the best riding on the planet. It's also home to World Cup DH rider and frame designer Neko Mulally. Neko had an unfortunate get off this spring during a warm up run and broke his hip. This summer he has been training hard at his home in Pisgah, North Carolina as well as at his 2 public bike parks. Ride Kanuga and Rock Creek. Neko built himself the ideal test track and facility at Rock Creek. Complete with a paved shuttle road and 25 miles of trails ranging from bermed out cruisers to tech chunky enduro tracks. Rock Creek is also expanding with XC trails as well as more Enduro style riding. Neko's day consists of hitting his home gym first thing in the morning. Followed by a healthy meal. He has a complete bike shop in his basement where he sets up his bikes for the day depending on where he's riding. He's a close 15 minute drive from some of the most famous trails in the world located in the Pisgah National Forest.
