Born in the year 1943 in Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo Regional Corporation, Trinidad & Tobago, Khan was praised for his original compositions. Yusuff Khan, also known as the "Mighty Crepsole", made his first big public apprearance on the Sunday Morning Indian Hour Programme over Radio Trinidad through Mr. Moean Mohammed in 1962.
