(4K) CF Snowbirds Last Airshow in Canada with the CT-114 Tutor | AERO Gatineau-Ottawa 2026

Canadian Forces Snowbirds AERO Gatiineau-Ottawa 2026 Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport (CYND) Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Saturday, September 19th- Sunday, September 20th, 2026 Hello everyone! Welcome back to another year of AERO-Gatineau Ottawa! Great to be here after two years and this weekend was going to be a bitter sweet airshow. It would be the last performance of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds with their iconic Canadair CT-114 Tutor on Canadian soil after 55 years. The team were parked on the ramp hot ramp, followed by a FOD walk that was carried out by the techs before departure before the techs and pilots walked out to their aircraft and began preparing for departure. The team then fired up and taxied out to make way for a RWY 27 single ship departure, followed by the shakeout and the show. The show consisted with some awesome Snowbird classic maneuvers such as the Card 9, 9 Plane Line Abreast Pass, Big Diamond, Concorde, Tornado and the solo's too with their Knife Edge Pass, Roll, Mirror Roll and the Noose. During the Snowbirds' 9 Plane Line Abreast Pass, Snowbird 1 Maj. Maciej Hatta came on the mic to thank everyone for coming out and seeing the last show of the Tutor in Canada with a heartfelt message 'I'm not crying, we're all crying'. After a spectacular Canada Burst, the team landed individually on RWY 27 before returning and doing one final smoke show in front of the crowd before taxiing into parking and shutting down. It was an honour and a privilege to be able to witness this performance, and there were definitely some emotions as well throughout the show, as for someone like me who's been going to airshows since four years of age and seeing the Snowbirds with their Tutors every single time, I will definitely be missing the team. Thank you for gracing the skies for 55 years and I look forward to welcoming the team back in 2030 with the brand new CT-157 Siskin II. Long live the Snowbirds! Enjoy the video!
