Un clin d’œil à l’univers Disney, et une petite touche de soleil pour la période de Noël. Un morceau énergique et fédérateur, porté par une interprétation rythmique en shuffle sur les doubles croches, qui donne tout son caractère au groove. Deux défis : 1/ La mémorisation des nuances dans les deux couplets Les variations semblent moins calculées que ressenties sur l’instant en studio. La partition les suit, bien sûr, mais en condition live, elles peuvent être interprétées de manière très personnelle — tant que le groove et l’esprit du morceau sont respectés. 2/ Les soli Au-delà de la justesse des bends, il faut bien poser le débit en swing feel sur les doubles croches. La mesure 78 est un point clé : mieux vaut bien l’intégrer avant de chercher à accélérer, pour garder la fluidité et la mise en place. A small nod to the Disney universe, with a touch of sunshine for the holiday season. An energetic and uplifting song, driven by a shuffle feel on sixteenth notes that gives the groove its full character. Two challenges : 1/ Memorizing the nuances in the two verses The variations feel more instinctive than calculated in the original recording. The tab reflects them, of course, but in a live context they can be interpreted very personally — as long as the groove and the spirit of the song are respected. 2/ The solos Beyond bend accuracy, it’s essential to place the swing feel correctly on the sixteenth notes. Bar 78 is a key moment: it’s better to internalize it fully before pushing the tempo, in order to keep fluidity and solid timing. A great song to work on groove, listening… and interpretation.
