POV Snow removal and drift control with Doosan DL250 after a large blizzard came through. Im working with a sidewalk crew with snowrators and a bobcat L28 with snow blower attachment to clear 3-5ft drifts off of the sidewalk at this facility. High winds at this building create really bad drifts on one side so we come out every few hours to keep these under control until it dies down and we can salt. The building had really bad designing in this aspect and the client is aware of this as well. It may seem like a lot of snow to have down at a time but this is the solution we came up with working with the client to be as budget friendly and employee friendly(on our end not having guys sit there for days on end) as possible. The doorways and main entrances are constantly monitored so foot traffic can still get out and the parking lots never really get affected so we are able to keep those ares safe all the time. I know the video doesn't show the initial drifts but trust me they were as tall as I am and they were just cleared a few hours before this was shot! Crazy stuff! The sidewalk crew is also not in shots because they were at a different building but they come to help do the final touchup work before leaving. Normally we have an ASV RT-40 on site with a custom cage plow and that blower but it was broken at the time from the extreme cold temps we had. The 908 wheel loader is also broken down and that's why it's sitting in the spot it is in the video. Towards the end I threw on some footage at this same facility of the Doosan 250 loading out the massive snow piles we had all over this facility once the winds subsided and blizzard had passed. We had about 20 trucks and two loaders running for 2 nights to get this hauled out. We haul this facility out every snow fall because of limited space and truck traffic. Sorry I don't have more footage here but the client is very picky about what can be filmed and its very hard to blur stuff out constantly so I have to be selective. I hope you enjoy the POV and truck hauling footage! As always, let me know what you think!
