Chalk Couture Christmas Dove Canvas for Holiday Wall Decor

I’m making Chalk Couture Christmas Dove decor with a wood cutout, reusable transfer, shimmer paste, and a simple black canvas. I started with an 11 by 14 black canvas and added the words “the most wonderful time of the year” using beautiful Nominee shimmer paste. Then I painted the dove cutout black, added a little surface wax, and lined up the Christmas Dove transfer. Bright White paste brings out all the lovely details in the dove. I lightly dragged the paste over the screened areas, peeled back the transfer, and dried the finished design before attaching the cutout to the canvas with hot glue. I love how the black cutout blends into the canvas and lets those crisp white details stand out. A gold bow would also look pretty with the shimmer lettering. At the end, I’m sharing a little peek at the Santa I made with Crayola air dry clay and a detailed mold. I’m working on a full video showing how I made it.
