Almost The Bridge to Somewhere near New Plymouth

The Road To Somewhere is not a tourist destination. I don't think it's even a local destination. It's just a bridge. But it is in a good location. It spans the Whangamomona River, and joins the Whangamomona Rd (no, not the Forgotten Highway) and Tahunaroa Rd in the Aotuhia Station. Apparently you can get all the way through to Whangamomona when the roads are open. Unfortunately the roads weren't open when I went. The road was closed tantalisingly close to the bridge. Close enough to fly the drone over a hill to look at the bridge. (yes, I got permission from Aotuhia Station to fly the drone over their land and show it on YouTube). The Triumph Navigation app still bugs me. Sometimes it's great. Other times, like on this ride, it decided to completely skip the waypoint for the bridge. Maybe it knew that the road was closed - but it gave no indication - it directed me straight past the turn off. I was not happy. I thought that you could get to the bridge by heading north from Whanganui. I was completely wrong. You have to go around to the Forgotten Highway. This, along with the navigation issues, meant that the ride took me much longer than I expected. I decided against returning to Napier at the end of the ride, and headed to New Plymouth.
