The world of work is changing quickly. How do you ensure that your skills and your career keep pace?
In this LinkedIn Live, Dr. Nita Chhinzer will share practical insights on how professionals can stay relevant, adaptable and valuable throughout their careers. The conversation will explore the skills employers value most, how to demonstrate your impact, where AI fits into the changing workplace and what individuals can do now to strengthen their career resilience and remain in demand.
On September 29, 2026, join Dr. Nita Chhinzer, Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and the Master’s in Leadership at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, Consultant, and Author in conversation with Nancy Ripton, CMO of Women of Influence.
Drawing on her research into restructuring, job insecurity, and graduate employability, as well as her experience across corporate, academic, and consulting environments, Dr. Chhinzer will explore how employment is evolving, what employers will increasingly expect, and the capabilities professionals will need to remain relevant. Her own career experience will provide context for a broader discussion about preparing for what comes next.
The conversation will also examine the difference between management and leadership, and why capabilities such as judgement, influence, self-awareness, advocacy and evidence-based decision-making are increasingly important. Dr. Chhinzer will discuss how continued learning can help professionals better understand the value they bring and prepare for opportunities beyond a single role, company or sector.
This event is presented in partnership with the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph. Through its Master's in Leadership program, Lang helps experienced professionals strengthen the transferable leadership skills, professional clarity and confidence needed to navigate increasingly complex workplaces.
Join us for a practical conversation about career resilience and how to prepare for change without trying to predict exactly what comes next.
