Overdose to Sleep - I Watched You Beg For Mercy (DSBM)

This is a new song from my band Overdose to Sleep. This track describes CØL's trauma with his past psychotic episodes. For context, he's had schizophrenia since he was 13/14. This song describes two major events, one episode in which he watched his mother get tied up in front of him and eviscerated, and another, which was his first real episode, where his baby sister was murdered and beat in the head with a rock. These events were entirely real to CØL, in the moment he thought it was really happening. The events caused him a lot of trauma and eventually became a PTSD diagnosis. The lyrics are not meant to be edgy or for shock value. It is meant to portray the event as accurately as possible in an attempt to force the listener into understanding what it was like through sheer intensity.
