Comping & Phrasing on the drums (Jimmy Cobb example)

If you're new to this, or have been practicing independence exercises/practicing the book "Syncopation" but still can't really comp, this video may be helpful to you. I wanted to share with you some seemingly simple but important observations about the importance of understanding ride phrasing and triplet phrasing when you comp. I use a live recording of Jimmy Cobb as an example, and show you some phrasing and comping exercises that will help you understand how you should be comping in jazz.
