2 Days at Japan’s Best Airport: Food, Souvenirs & Entertainment | New Chitose Airport Guide

We both love spending time at airports, so this time we made New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido the destination itself instead of just passing through. Over two days, we take our time exploring the airport, with plenty of Hokkaido food and souvenir shopping alongside runway views, entertainment areas, and an overnight stay inside the terminal. We start from Haneda with our first ANA Premium Class flight before arriving at New Chitose and checking into Portom International Hokkaido. The stamp rally turned out to be a surprisingly fun way to explore different corners of the terminal as we moved between local meals, sweets, character shops, and places to rest. After one last round of souvenirs and ice cream, we make our way back to Tokyo.
