[Verse 1] Once I was a creature no one knew was real Then I learned to bend the weather with a mystic appeal The body changed around me, the old blue form was gone But every pearl and every memory was carried forward on Wings upon my shoulders, a heavier frame to bear A beast built for the open skies, with kindness in its stare [Pre-Chorus] They expected fire and fury They expected fear and pain But power without compassion Is a crown without a name! [Chorus] I AM THE GUARDIAN OF THE OPEN SEA THE DRAGON WHO WILL CROSS THE WORLD SIXTEEN HOURS AROUND THE EARTH BEFORE THE SUN HAS EVEN TURNED I HAVE THE STRENGTH TO BREAK THE MOUNTAINS I HAVE THE POWER OF THE STORM BUT IF A LOST SOUL CALLS FOR RESCUE This dragon will come! [Verse 2] Rarely seen upon the ocean, yet the sailors know the tale A mind matching human reason, moving faster than the gale I carry Western armor, but an Eastern spirit guides Guiding battered, sinking vessels through the unforgiving tides Physical force and special fire wrapped inside the same knight Thunder, ice, and hyper beams, I am the master of the fight [Pre-Chorus] Then came the ability to survive what should destroy A hidden strength called Multiscale, turning damage into poise I will take the first strike! I will hold the line! [Bridge] The Master's prize deep in the den A trial passed by worthy men A sudden burst of blinding speed To arrive whenever there is need! Extreme speed through the pouring rain! I carry every shed skin! I carry every form I once was! The child! The serpent! The sky! [Final Chorus] I AM THE GUARDIAN OF THE OPEN SEA THE END OF EVERY MYTHIC TALE THE STORM THAT LEARNED TO PROTECT THE WINGS THAT CONQUER EVERY GALE FROM DRATINI'S HIDDEN WATERS TO DRAGONAIR'S CELESTIAL RAIN I HAVE THE POWER TO SHATTER STONE BUT I CHOOSE TO HEAL THE PAIN! [Outro] If the lost cry out... I am the Guardian. [End] ⚖️ DISCLAIMER: This is an unofficial, fan-made musical tribute created out of love for the franchise.
