Hidden Roads of Cochise Stronghold

This week on Adventures with Sir Eli, we’re exploring some of the backroads, history, and forgotten places of Southern Arizona. We start our adventure at Cochise Stronghold, tucked into the rugged Dragoon Mountains. Surrounded by towering granite formations and beautiful desert scenery, we follow the backroads through one of the most impressive landscapes in this part of Arizona. From there, we make our way to Pearce, where we stop to explore the old jail and wander through the historic cemetery, getting another glimpse into the people and communities that once called this area home. After leaving Pearce, the adventure continues as we head back into the mountains and work our way toward Middlemarch Road, following remote roads through the rugged terrain before eventually making our way through Tombstone.
