Are Nepali Engineers Ready for the AI Revolution? Er. Laxmi Prasad Bhatt is a Computer Engineer, academician, and researcher with over six years of experience in engineering education. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at Hillside College of Engineering, Purbanchal University. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from IOE, Western Region Campus, Tribhuvan University, and his Master's degree in Computer System and Knowledge Engineering from IOE, Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision. His research work focuses on practical applications of AI, including medical imaging, brain tissue segmentation, Nepali language sentiment analysis, healthcare prediction, and intelligent cloud resource optimization. Before joining Hillside College of Engineering, he served as a Lecturer and Academic Coordinator at the Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM), affiliated with Tribhuvan University. He is also associated with academic research and publications, including contributions to international conferences and research journals.
