This is a special flight as I say goodbye to Bolivia, flying aboard one of Boliviana de Aviación’s (BoA) Airbus A330-200s on its newly launched Santa Cruz–Barcelona route. This semi-inaugural flight marked a new chapter for BoA, connecting Bolivia directly with Spain and its large Bolivian community. Join me for the full long-haul experience, from the airport and boarding to the A330 cabin, seats, amenities, in-flight entertainment, meals and service, as we cross South America, the Atlantic and finally reach Barcelona. But this flight is also an opportunity to reflect on BoA and the challenges behind opening new international routes. With an aging and limited fleet, financial pressures, and operational challenges, how much room does the airline really have for further expansion? The BCN route itself was short-lived, operating for just 5 months... After reviewing BoA across several domestic and long-haul flights, this is my final flight experience in Bolivia, and the perfect way to wrap up my time there.
