Viking Rise Cycle Season KVK Scenario Voting | How to Upgrade Heroes to SP & Shard Costs

The new Cycle Season has started, and in this video I’m checking out the KVK scenario voting, Blessed Lands, the How to Train Your Dragon collaboration event, and the new SP Hero upgrade system. First, we’re taking a look at the Season 10 KVK scenario voting. With the Cycle Season, kingdoms can vote for which KVK map from the previous Conquest Seasons they want to play again instead of entering a completely new KVK map. I’ll show how the voting works and which scenario is currently leading. Baldr’s Redemption is currently dominating the vote with more than 82%, getting more votes than all the other scenarios combined. If the voting continues this way, it looks like this will most likely be our KVK10 map. After that, I’m playing Blessed Lands while also working on the How to Train Your Dragon collaboration and other events at the same time, trying to collect points and rewards from multiple events together. Towards the end of the video, I’m taking a closer look at the new SP Hero upgrade system, especially Divine Servant Jens. Since I mainly play infantry and focus more on field battles, Jens is one of the heroes I’m particularly interested in. First, let’s take a look at how the old Hero awakening system worked and how SP Hero Shards have now been added with the Cycle Season. The old Hero system used S1–S3 Hero Shards, with 1,200 shards required to awaken a Legendary Hero. With the Conquest Seasons, SX Hero Shards became the main currency. The older S1–S3 shards could still be used or converted into SX Shards at a 3:1 ratio. Now, with the Cycle Season, SP Hero Shards have been added to the system, allowing existing heroes to be upgraded to their SP versions. For example, let’s take Jens. If you haven’t awakened Jens yet, you first need to awaken him normally using 1,200 Hero Shards, with S1 and higher Hero Shards being usable for this. Once Jens is awakened, the SP upgrade becomes available. First, you need 10 SP Hero Shards, which is equal to 30 SX Hero Shards, to promote Jens to the SP level. After that, you need another 990 SP Hero Shards to fully awaken SP Jens. That equals 2,970 SX Hero Shards. So the total cost of the SP upgrade is 1,000 SP Hero Shards, or 3,000 SX Hero Shards, on top of the initial 1,200 Hero Shards needed to awaken Jens normally. Looking at the skill trees, the SP Heroes seem significantly stronger than the current SX Heroes. Even the 1-star version of Jens already looks quite close to the latest SX Heroes. We’ll have to see how much stronger he becomes once fully awakened. The big question is whether this power increase is worth such a high shard cost, especially for F2P players. How easily we’ll be able to obtain SP Hero Shards from future events will also be an important factor.
