"I Won" is track 4 on The Sundays debut album Reading, Writing And Arithmetic, released in 1990, Rough Trade Records. Written by David Gavurin & Harriet Wheeler.
"I Won" is an incredibly moody track that is just neatly vaulted in its passage of creation. Another simple sounding tune, but intricate in David's approach to the guitar layering. This sort of approach is what made the bands follow up album, Blind, such a great album. It's a track that mixes the acoustic and electric guitars exceptionally well so the prominence is relevant during the respective part of the song. As always, the entire band just delivers something unique. As a result of the layering and mixture between the guitars parts I had the challenge to find a way to playthrough as a single track. Live performances David would really drive the rhythm playing acoustic, so I opted for acoustic here too, but here I've mixed up lead & rhythm to showcase parts that repeat at different sections of the song so you can watch and learn accordingly if you please. Best I could come up with given the moving parts to it.
Recorded playing my Epiphone AJ-210CE in Brown Vintage Sunburst. DI for this using a pre-amp direct to software but 1 mic to capture some natural acoustic low end/depth. Also used a TC Electronics' Hall of Fame 2 reverb pedal and Boss Super Chorus CH1 to help the lead parts and high end.
The correct intro chords:

G 1 -- 1 -- 1 -- 1
D 2 -- 2 -- 0 -- 2
A 2 -- 0 -- 2 -- 2
E 0 -- 0 -- 0 -- 0
