Before Rehab Elton John Was Asked This One Question

Digitally restored from a rare 1987 interview, this candid moment captures Elton John reflecting on life at the height of his fame — years before rehab and personal transformation. In the clip, Elton opens up about his famous friendships, owning a football club, and the intense public attention that came with it all. But it’s his response to a simple question — “Are you happy?” — that reveals a deeper, more vulnerable side of the superstar the world thought they knew. 📼 Originally aired on the influential Music Box television channel, this footage has remained unseen for decades.
