"Locus Iste," composed by Anton Bruckner in 1869, is a beautiful motet that will be featured in our upcoming "Majestic Bruckner" concert on March 9 & 10, 2024. Tickets starting at $15! 2024 will mark the 200th birthday of Austrian composer and organist Anton Bruckner! An exceptional figure known for his symphonies and sacred music, Bruckner’s works are punctuated with expansive, organ-like walls of sound. This winter, the Apollo Chorus of Chicago will be joined by the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra in presenting Bruckner’s Psalm 150, Te Deum and several motets. This concert will feature soloists Michelle Areyzaga—Soprano, Tetyana Vakhnovska—Mezzo-Soprano, Martin Luther Clark—Tenor, and Bill McMurray—Baritone.
