They Absolutely NAILED This...

Steel Ball Run Episode 8 was honestly phenomenal ngl I genuinely think this might be the best animated episode so far. The art same as in episode 2, and I absolutely love how close it looks to Araki's manga. This is pretty much exactly how I imagined Steel Ball Run being animated. In this review, I talk about the conclusion of the Wired fight, Johnny finally getting to use Tusk ACT1 properly, and some of the more emotional moments between Johnny and Gyro. I also really loved the pacing this week, especially during the fight against Pork Pie Hat Kid. We also finally finished Stage 2, got another look at Funny Valentine and the Corpse Parts, and even spotted Hot Pants for a split second! And with Scary Monsters coming next week, I honestly couldn't be more excited.
