Kids Free in October: Katrina Bruins Talks Museums, Halloween Fun & Family Adventures on KUSI News There's still time to enjoy Kids Free in October! Katrina Bruins, President of the San Diego Museum Council Board of Directors and Executive Director of Visions Museum of Textile Art in Arts District Liberty Station, joined KUSI's Good Morning San Diego to share how families can explore more than 70 museums, aquariums, gardens, historic sites and attractions throughout San Diego County and Tijuana. Katrina also highlighted the important support of First 5 San Diego, which recognizes how museum visits encourage early childhood learning, creativity, imagination and well-being. Through October 31, kids ages 12 and under get FREE admission at participating locations, with up to two children admitted free with one paid adult admission. And there's plenty of Halloween fun happening at our local museums! From spooky adventures at the Whaley House and aboard the USS Midway to nighttime experiences at Birch Aquarium, families have lots of reasons to get out and explore this October. As Katrina shared, a child's first museum visit can spark curiosity, inspire creativity and create memories that last a lifetime.
