The Day That Hope Ran for Her Life | Days of our Lives | 2000 | FREE EPISODE

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) screams as Kurt (Matthew Mahaney) confronts a sleeping Stefano (Joseph Mascolo), and in the chaos that follows, Stefano narrowly avoids being hit as the two men struggle for control. Stefano ultimately wins the fight, and when Hope tries to flee, Kurt grabs her, betting correctly that Stefano won't risk hurting her to stop him. Stefano manages to strike Kurt in the shoulder instead, giving Hope the opening she needs to make a run for it. Back at the Kiriakis estate, Nicholas (Victor Webster) tries to talk to Kate (Lauren Koslow) about Vivian and gets shut down, but he catches Victor (John Aniston) with unexpected news: Vivian (Louise Sorel) has left town for good, leaving Nicholas in charge of her 49 percent of Titan. Victor makes it clear he has no intention of letting that stand. Meanwhile, Kate opens up, barely, to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), who can tell something's wrong but can't quite get her to say what. Up in the sky, things go from bad to worse. The bomb has gone off but the plane holds together, and John (Drake Hogestyn) realizes something is deeply wrong when daylight never comes. Dr. Rolf (William Utay) is watching it all unfold with satisfaction, having secretly sabotaged the plane's compass from the very start, sending them hopelessly off course. Bart (Steve Blackwood) can't shake his guilt over the passengers, but Rolf couldn't care less. When the pilot finally comes to and joins John in the cockpit, it's already too late; the plane is out of fuel and dropping toward the ocean. Do you think Hope makes it out of that turret before Kurt or Stefano catches up to her?
