"My passion created selfishness." Arsène Wenger calls it the addiction gene. Total focus on one thing means parts of yourself never get the chance to develop. His honest accounting: dinner, then football, every night, some Sundays with so many games he'd lose track of what he'd even watched. He admits his passion didn't leave enough room for the people closest to him, and that he'd have loved a bigger family. He's grateful for the daughter he has, and says he's trying to repair what the obsession cost along the way. His bigger warning: fighting to win at all costs can strip away part of who you are. He lived inside a triangle, home, training ground, stadium, nothing else, preparing for games the exact same way a player would, refusing to go out even 48 hours before a match. His line for what that kind of life demands: you have to sacrifice your life for this job. Source: Arsène Wenger, KimmoFC #Leadership #Sacrifice #Mindset #WorkLifeBalance
