What is a realistic Salary in France in 2026? Whether you are a student at EDHEC or a professional on a Passeport Talent, the gap between Brut (Gross) and Net can be a shock. Today, I’m revealing 10 years of my real French payslips to show you exactly what to expect.
Moving to France as an international student or expat requires knowing the math. In this video, I break down the French Income Tax system using my own journey—from a part-time student worker in Lille to an 'Elite' CDI professional, showing you the payslips from the 3 different jobs I had over the years : a student working in a sandwich shop, an intern in Paris to a Tech Consultant on an "Elite" Passeport Talent visa.
There are theoretical values for income taxes and "charges sociales" online, but I didn't find any payslips for beginner roles.
In this video, we break down:
✅ Internships: Why interns in 2026 still keep ~92% of their pay (and why it’s a trap).
✅ Part Time Jobs: What you actually take home working 20 hours a week as a student.
✅ CDI: A breakdown of my €3,727 payslip. Where does that €1,200 in deductions actually go?
